Lands Ministry Maps Out Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to Fight Corruption & Support Professional & Effective Public Service Delivery

MLHCP, PR012, Friday March 26 2021:- The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Country Planning has successfully ended a two-day senior management retreat in Mattru Jong, Southern Sierra Leone.

The team led by the Minister, Dr. Turad Senesie critically deliberated and agreed on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that will ensure and enhance effective public service delivery.

With the new governance structures now in place at the ministry, the general public is expected to enjoy professional service in terms of land administration and management in the country.

During the discussions, the Minister was very much concerned about the turn-around time and costs associated with processing land and other related documents.

The senior management team unanimously adopted processes and procedures that will not only reduce human contact but also eradicate corruption in land administration and management.

The specifics on the retreat conclusions will be communicated to the general public ahead of the lifting of the land moratorium.
