Lands Complaints Committee Members Take Oath of Office

MLHCP, PR008, Friday March 12 2021:- The nine-man committee constituted by the Ministry of Lands Housing and Country Planning to look into land disputes in the western area has subscribed to oath of office on Thursday March 11 2021. The ceremony chaired by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry took place at the Committee's Bank Complex Secretariat in Kingtom. The committee members swore to uphold the terms of reference given to them with utmost fairness, dignity, transparency and accountability. The complaints committee led by Chairman Alhaji Murtada Sesay has been mandated to receive and look into complaints from members of the public with regards to land disputes in the Western Area spanning from April 2018 to January 2021. The committee has already commenced receiving formal complaints at the Bank Complex Secretariat from 10am to 3pm every weekday and electronically through email on complaints@molhcp.gov.sl. The Committee has directed that members of the public should submit their written complaints alongside photocopies of documents to support their claims, in addition to a valid form of identification. The committee will be acknowledging receipts of complaints and will reach out to complainants as and when the need arise.
