The Housing Directorate is responsible to effectively and efficiently work with partners to provide affordable housing across the country for low and middle income earners; envision the modernization of our towns and cities to replace derelict and shanty communities; encourage the setting up of home finance institutions; encourage large-scale production of local building materials; work with Sierra Leone Housing Cooperation to improve on service delivery; facilitate access to credit for building and mortgage for low and middle income earners; encourage private ventures to build toilets, bathing facilities and multi-storey car parks in urban cities.
