He holds a B.Eng. (Hons) in Civil Engineering; Post-graduate Diploma in Geo-Information Production and Management; and M.Sc. in Development Studies.
Kanawa has worked as Lands Officer (2009 – 2013); Senior Lands Officer (2013 – 2014); Ag. Assistant Director of Lands (2014 – 2017); Ag. Director of Surveys and Lands (2018 – February 2021); and Ag. Deputy Director of Surveys and Lands (February 2021 to date).
