He holds a BSc. in Agriculture from the University of Sierra Leone; post-graduate diploma in Project Management (Construction) from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), United Kingdom and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Construction and Real Estate from the University of Reading, United Kingdom.
He has worked extensively in higher management positions in the Sierra Leone public service – Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Works, Housing and Infrastructure as Director of Defence Estates and Director of Housing respectively.
